We're pleased to announce the availability of pricing data for Australian (ASX) and New Zealand (NZX) listings on Google Finance. We've always had descriptive data and news for these listings -- now we have all that plus intra-day market data and pretty charts. You can search for companies by name using the search box. Alternatively, you can search by ticker. For example, if you'd like to find the current price for stock in the Auckland International Airport, you can search for it by name, as AIA.NZ, or as NZE:AIA. Similarly, if you'd like to find the current price for stock in Billabong, you can search for it by name, as BBG.AX,or as ASX:BBG.
As always, if you notice any problems, please let us know. It may take us longer than we'd like to resolve reported problems, but we do read every report.

Thanks for this guys, intraday data on the Australian market, it's what I've been dreaming about, now I don't have to use Yahoo for anything!
I'm with Ben, this is fantastic news for us Aussies & Kiwis!
Thanks so much for getting this out to us. Now what to buy????
Great job!
BTW Do you have any plans to support Russian stocks?
Hey .... me and my friends are desperately looking for u guys to include Indian Stock markets as well.
Fantastic, this is so much better than the Yahoo finance page. Good work.
Any chance for a request? it would be good if you had the option of overlaying the 'all ords' trend over the top.
BOW and URA are not showing up...
Great job though!!!
I assume UK data is being worked on - when will we have the FTSE indices?
you only seem to have 2.5 years of history data for the couple of companies I checked.
What gives?
I hope you are able to get a backlog of data of at least 15 years, otherwise the use is quite limited. Yahoo has it!
Hey! How long till you get the São Paulo Stock Exchange Data? I've been waiting for ages!
great job! i'll pick up the widget. hopefully, it's available.
Fantastic news on the Aussie market front. Any tips on how to get Australian indexes to display in watchlists? Yahoo allows XAO.AX for All Ordinaries etc, what is google equivalent.
Also, I love the google finance tab on I google - any thoughts on when this will be customisable to select local market info (ie Australia) instead of US market?
Hi this is great is there any way to make Google Finance on my iGoogle to show NZ markets summary, top movers, news etc... instead of US information?
I'm waiting for Indonesian Stock Exchange(IDX) market data. IDX is one of most exciting emerging market.
Great work. comes in really handy -- would love you to get Real Time stock prices though.
On another note: I think there is a bug on the Portfolio Page (http://finance.google.com/finance/portfolio?action=view&pid=2)
When you click on the 'Change' column heading to sort by Change the results are simply re-ordered A-Z rather than by the change in share value.
Great information. I will put in a mention of this in my Australian Finance blog - http://www.financeviewpoint.com
Hi there,
With the google finance API for ASX (Australian stock exchange) is there any way to get the json, xml version?
I tried:
http://finance.google.com/finance?q=NAB.AX&output=json
